Overview

On Saturday 26 April 2015, an earthquake of magnitude 7.8 on the Richter scale struck the poor, landlocked and mountainous Asian state of Nepal. By 29 April 2015, the death toll in Nepal had risen to more than 5,000.

This resource consists of an assembly, a slideshow presentation and an accompanying script. The assembly was written for learners aged 11-14 but can be adapted for an older or younger audience.
