Overview

This research report explores key characteristics of feminist organizing in Lebanon through the lens of movement building. The authors produced it as part of their work with the RootsLab pilot program in Lebanon, a social innovation partnership between FRIDA | Young Feminist Fund, Global Fund for Women, Oxfam and Young Foundation. The pilot brought together teams of feminist activists to create and test methods of social change. The report draws on 30 in-depth interviews with feminists in an effort to determine the dynamics shaping the feminist movement in Lebanon, and to understand how those involved with it can nurture its growth.
