Jola is Oxfam's Head of Sustainable Water and Sanitation Programming providing strategic direction and implementation oversight of Oxfam's water and sanitation development programming. This focuses on a comprehensive understanding of the underlying social, political inequalities and financial barriers, finding innovative solutions to ensure no one is left behind. This is applicable in fragile contexts as well as middle income countries where poverty prevails and is growing. Jola has worked in both public and private sector in water management and environmental engineering,
before moving to international development. She has over 10 years experience working at country, regional level in Africa, Asia, Middle East and LAC within the UN, Red Cross and INGO's in both humanitarian and development programmes.
