Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer – Market Based Livelihoods & Gender


Office Location: Oxford, UK

Alastair is the PMEL Officer for Markets Based Livelihoods and Gender, for the Programme Quality Team in Oxfam GB, and is supporting the Gendered Enterprise and Markets (GEM) programme.

Alastair previously worked as a Monitoring and Evaluation Manager for a Food Security and Incomes project with Aga Khan Foundation in Mozambique. Prior to this he worked as a Research Consultant for the Rural Growth and Livelihoods team at The IDL Group, an international development consultancy firm based in Bristol. He studied Agriculture and Development (MSc) at the University of Reading in 2010/11, with a research placement in Tanzania investigating the impacts of Conservation Agriculture on smallholder farmers' livelihoods. He has also worked in India as a VSO volunteer and in the UK with Christian Aid.
