Kjetil Østnor is a Programme Development Specialist in the Design, Innovation and Partnership (DIP) team, that is part of Programme Quality in the Programme Strategy and Impact (PSI) team in Oxfam GB. He has lived and worked for different international NGOs in the Middle East, South-East Asia and in East and Southern Africa.
Kjetil has 18 years of work experience, including 11 year as a senior manager in the development and humanitarian field. Before joining Oxfam in September 2016, Kjetil was the Country Director in Ethiopia and before that in Palestine for Norwegian People's Aid. He has also worked an International Director for a Norwegian NGO and more recently as a Regional Programme Manager in MECIS in Oxfam GB and for a period seconded to the Oxfam International MENA Regional Platform as a Regional Manager to line manage Oxfam's country programmes in Yemen, Jordan and Lebanon. He has also
worked as Programme Consultant for UNICEF in East-Timor and for the Desmond Tutu Peace Centre in South Africa. Kjetil holds a Master (M.Phil) in International Peace Studies from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland.
