Shawna Wakefield is Oxfam International's Senior Gender Justice Lead, based in Washington DC.
Prior to this she has held a wide range of roles for development organisations including: working as a regional gender advisor in East Asia for Oxfam GB; coordinator for Afghanistan Research and Evaluation Unit's gender and decision making project; and as a programme specialist for UNIFEM in its economic security team and also within its directorate.
Shawna has also worked with immigrant and refugee women from the Horn of Africa on economic justice, immigrant and refugee women's rights.
