Chad is Oxfam's resilience programme policy adviser based in Sana'a, Yemen. He works together with our field teams in Yemen to build resilient communities, and focuses on the advocacy and promotion of basic services and social protection with key stakeholders at the national level.
Prior to joining Oxfam Chad worked on social protection policy with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in Bangkok, Thailand where he worked with member states to strengthen social protection policy. He has also worked with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization on livelihoods development and gender programming in Sri Lanka and Myanmar.
Chad's academic background is in development studies. He received his masters in governance and development from the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex.
