Overview

Presidents have both power and responsibility.

This resource for 7-14 year olds shares photographs and quotations from children living in Mukuru slum in Kenya’s capital city, Nairobi. Ten children were asked: “What would you do if you were president for the day?”

Learners in the UK can explore the stories from Mukuru and consider how they would run their country. What would they like to change and how would they persuade people to vote for them?
