Jérôme joined Oxfam in July 2011 as Regional Research and Policy Coordinator, a new position aiming to increase the quality of Oxfam's research in West Africa (at both national and regional level), strengthen the research skills of regional staff and link Oxfam's work at all levels with research institutions to ensure that Oxfam is influencing key thinkers across West Africa.
He joined with ten years of experience working with West African research institutions through the regional office of the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in Dakar. He previously worked eight years for Enda Third World, a Dakar-based international NGO, as programme officer on an Africa-wide network of urban NGOs, CSOs and researchers working on habitat issues.
Jérôme holds a masters degree in African Studies (political science) and a masters degree in History from the University of Bordeaux (France). He is fluent in both French and English.
