Jennie manages Oxfam GB's Programme Performance and Accountability team, which leads the organisation's work on monitoring, evaluation, learning and accountability, effectiveness and impact, and the business rules and systems to improve the quality of our programmes.
Previously, Jennie worked with the UK's Department for International Development (DfID) for eight years, most recently heading-up its humanitarian institutions and policy work. In that role, she played a key part in the implementation of the government's Multilateral and Humanitarian Emergency Response Reviews.
Jennie also spent three years in La Paz from 2005 to 2008, as head of DfID's regional Andes programme, covering Peru, Bolivia and Colombia. Prior to DfID, Jennie spent five years as a policy analyst with Christian Aid, leading on gender and participation. She also undertook short-term consultancies for the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and other organisations on approaches to civil society participation in policy and decision-making. She began her career in the refugee camps of Western Tanzania, running community services programmes for Rwandan and Burundi refugees.
Jennie holds a BA in and MPhil from the University of Birmingham in African Studies and Geography.
