Hugo leads on Oxfam's Enterprise Development Programme, an initiative that promotes and invests in early-stage agricultural enterprises that promote economic opportunities for women. An economist by training, he also holds a masters degree from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from ESADE in Barcelona.
Prior to joining Oxfam GB, he worked for Care International for 5 years in Guatemala, Tanzania and the UK; and for various management consultancy firms advising both large and small enterprises. His areas of interest are rural enterprise, women's rights, market-based livelihoods and private sector in development.
