Emily is currently responsible for the management of Raising Her Voice (RHV), Oxfam GB's five year programme supporting initiatives to enhance women's participation in local and national leadership and governance structures in 17 countries worldwide.

Emily comes to the post following six years as Southern Africa programme and policy manager at WOMANKIND Worldwide where she was responsible for the development, management and monitoring of programmes in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Albania. In this, as in her current RHV role, Emily provided ongoing technical (and moral) support to partner organisations and broader women's movements. Emily was also WOMANKIND'S resource person on HIV and AIDS and coordinated the UK Gender and Development Network from 2002 to 2004.
