Dejene is an experienced professional in Climate Change and Environmental Management themes with more than 10 years work experiences in the field in international NGO and Government organizations. He has particular expertise in environmental management, climate change adaptation, participatory scenario planning, community based disaster risk reduction, resilient development, gender and climate change mainstreaming.
Dejene holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Addis Ababa University in Ethiopia. He is the current Interim National Coordinator for a Africa Climate Change Resilience Alliance in Ethiopia made of Oxfam GB, Save the Children International, CARE International, World Vision International and Overseas Development Institute. Dejene has extensive experience in policy formulation, capacity building for government institutions in areas of Climate Change, Environmental management, CRGE planning and implementation, which
contribute to green growth and sustainable development of the country.
