Colin has over 25 years professional experience in the UK and overseas. He spent 18 years living in South East Asia working on a variety of conservation and sustainable development programmes. Prior to moving overseas, Colin was a UK based researcher studying seed physiology and seedling emergence for a range of horticultural crops.

Colin holds a degree in Natural Environmental Science from Sheffield University and has extensive experience in the South East Asian region working for a variety of different organisations including national governments, international and national NGO's.  These positions provided direct field experience exploring community development and conservation through innovative approaches to sustainable development. Areas of special interest include agriculture and climate change, and systems approaches to underlying development challenges.
