Chris Anderson

Global Adviser, Disaster Risk Reduction

Email: arr@oxfam.org.uk

Office Location: Oxford, UK

Chris started as a volunteer with Oxfam GB 13 years ago, and has worked for nine years within the humanitarian programme in a range of communication, management and co-ordination roles, both in the UK and overseas, mainly supporting Oxfam GB's programme in Latin America. This led Chris to push the organisation to develop its approach on Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and to provide resources to be more effective.

For the past four years, Chris has been a member of the Adaptation and Risk Reduction team in Oxfam GB's Programme Policy Unit, leading on the development of programme policy and practical guidance on integrating DRR across all of Oxfam's work. He also sits on Oxfam GB's Emergencies Managers Network and the UK BOND DRR subgroups.

Chris holds a BA in Development Studies and Spanish at Middlesex University.
