Vanessa is the monitoring, evaluation, and learning manager for the Regional Learning and Advocacy Programme. She is responsible for promoting learning and good practice documentation among the European Community Humanitarian Office (ECHO) Drought Cycle Management partners. She was previously the learning, monitoring and evaluation advisor for the USAID funded consortium project Enhanced Livelihoods in the Mandera Triangle (ELMT/ELSE).

Vanessa has worked as a consultant on monitoring and evaluation and strategic planning including with the Kenya Government, international organisations and NGOs, and has previously worked in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Mozambique, Republic of Georgia, Malawi and Brazil. She has also worked as country director for HelpAge International in Ethiopia. She speaks French and Portuguese.
