Oskar works as the Financial Sector Adviser with the Economic Empowerment team in Asia. He helps forge links between the investment community (impact investors) and Oxfam programmes that support enterprise development. He is currently engaged in designing and developing a Social Enterprise incubator in Sri Lanka that will focus on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) along the agricultural value chain. In addition, he supports Oxfam's investment/research work with the Enterprise Development Programme and also SME development research with regional partners like ISEA (Institute for
Social Entrepreneurship in Asia), IIX (Impact Investment Exchange) etc.
Prior to joining Oxfam, Oskar worked at three major investment banks (CITI, Gruntal and Morgan Stanley) as an asset manager. He has also been an instructor, consultant and an entrepreneur in the educational sector in Asia.
His academic background includes an undergraduate degree in finance and economics and a graduate degree in development studies from the University of London, SOAS.
