Abdul is programme manager disaster risk reduction and climate change for Oxfam GB Pakistan programme. He has worked as emergency food security and livelihood's adviser in Oxfam's humanitarian programme for almost 4 years.
He has over 8 years experience in programme design, implementation, coordination and management in humanitarian and development work; working in alliances and consortiums to tackle poverty, through capacity building of local communities on DRR and providing opportunities to cope with this. This includes extensive work on climate change adaptation at different levels; practice where Oxfam GB works with partners, policy where communities from disaster prone areas are informed of their rights and equipped with skills to assert them and institutional where Oxfam
GB builds capacity of partners in disaster management to network and articulate issues in their respective geographical areas.
