Graham has been at Oxfam GB since 2002 working always through the humanitarian department, becoming Deputy Humanitarian Director in 2007.
Prior to this had spent a number of years working in countries such as North Korea, Sudan, Sri Lanka, Macedonia and Kosovo with different aid organisations. He also spent two years as one of Mango's co-founders.
Prior to getting into aid work he ran a scientific research programmes with UK universities. At this time he also authored several scientific research papers, a book on trace analysis and a PhD thesis on analytical chemistry. He is currently Deputy Humanitarian Director with responsibility for resources.
This means a responsibility for the finance, HR and logistics functions in emergencies to make sure there is money, people and kit available. From a longer term perspective it means working on capacity building and organisational development initiatives. Other special areas of interest include private sector and digital technology in emergencies.
