David is contracted by CARE US to support the work of the Emergency Capacity Building (ECB) Project, which is a collaboration between six of the largest INGOs in the world, including Oxfam GB. The project aims to improve the speed, quality and efficiency of humanitarian aid.

After graduating from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in Geography, David began as a volunteer for Oxfam GB as a volunteer in a number of shops and the regional retail office. In 1996, he worked with Oxfam GB's humanitarian department, and spent time in the headquarters in Oxford as well as many regional and country offices on emergency deployments.

David also worked for Oxfam Australia, an affiliate of Oxfam International, between 2007 and 2008.
