Catherine joined the Emergency Capacity Building (ECB) Project as Project Manager for Oxfam in this multi-agency initiative in November 2010, midway through the five-year project. She brought with her experience of working for Oxfam GB in humanitarian response, programme quality and national capacity development.
Originally from a business background, Catherine worked for a management consultancy before specialising in programme development and monitoring, evaluation and learning at IDS (Institute for Development Studies) and independently for clients such as VSO (Volunteer Service Overseas). Originally inspired by her field-based community work in Ecuador in 2003, Catherine now plays a key role in Oxfam's leadership of the 'Consortium of Humanitarian Agencies in Bolivia', and in her broader project management role enjoys working in both Spanish and French with a wide range of
colleagues from different NGOs, countries and cultures.
