Mukta is the Regional Policy Adviser for Oxfam GB's Asia region, and his current areas of focus are agriculture, climate change and low carbon development, inclusive growth, and water. He previously designed, developed and managed the Policy and Advocacy Department (PolAD) of Oxfam in Bangladesh.

Since the beginning of professional career he has focused on national and international policies and practices. He has good knowledge and information on grassroots issues, wisdom and understanding on macro-micro linkages, and experience on alliance-network-partner management.

Mukta holds a BSS and MSS in Anthropology and a Post-Graduate Diploma in International Economics and Institutions.
