Jamie has almost 25 years' experience in international humanitarian and development programming and campaigning, having worked in North and South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Palestine, Egypt and the UK.
For the past ten years, he has worked on policy and advocacy, focusing initially on the Horn, East and Central African humanitarian crises (targeting European and UN targets). He is has been based in Cairo for the last four years targeting Arab institutions and governments on Oxfam advocacy and campaign priorities.
Most of Jamie's regional advocacy experience from Cairo has been with reference to humanitarian crises in Palestine, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen. His current focus is on Oxfam's response to the Arab Spring including donor aid policy - working on Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Yemen.
