Erinch Sahan

Private Sector Policy Adviser

As a Policy Adviser on the Private Sector Advocacy Team, Erinch works cross-divisionally on Oxfam GB's engagements with the private sector. This includes both positive partnerships with and campaigning against companies. His professional background is both in business strategy and market-based rural development programs.

Most recently, he worked for AusAID as a rural development specialist, designing and evaluating aid programs in Indonesia. Prior to entering the development world, Erinch worked as a market strategist at Procter & Gamble and ran a start-up furniture business in Australia. He also worked with franchising models and developed financial instruments for clients as a trainee solicitor.

Erinch's academic background is in Law and Finance, and he completed an honours research thesis on the impact of trade liberalisation on Turkish apparel manufacturers in 2003. He has also completed a masters degree in International Law and has written a thesis on how WTO (World Trade Organization) law relates to border-tax adjustments on carbon.
