Advocacy and Policy Officer, UK Poverty Programme

Office Location: Oxford, UK

Ben develops advocacy and policy as part of Oxfam's work to reduce poverty in the UK. He helps to design and pursue advocacy across Oxfam's policy streams on UK poverty, and manages relationships with UK political audiences on domestic poverty issues, in concert with Oxfam's government relations team. Ben also assists with the development of policy research, particularly to strengthen cross divisional campaigning and learning.

Prior to joining Oxfam in 2009, Ben worked in the UK Parliament and as a government relations consultant, where he focused on policy areas including human rights, infrastructure, energy and climate change. He has gained exposure to a wide range of Oxfam's advocacy strands at Oxfam, working with both the UK Poverty Programme and advocacy teams.

Ben holds a masters degree in International Relations.  He has published several pieces on poverty in the UK, including on UK Poverty Post and Open Democracy. You can follow Ben on Twitter at @benjamorgan.
