Tim Holmes has been Regional Director for MECIS since March 2015, overseeing Oxfam GB's humanitarian, long term development and influencing work across 11 countries. The region has an annual budget of approximately £60 million, more than 500 staff and operates in some of the world's most challenging, fragile and conflict affected states.
Tim joined Oxfam as Country Director for the Occupied Palestinian Territories and Israel in August 2010. Since then, he has also been a Partnership Development Manager and the Regional Programme Manager for the Middle East.
Prior to working with Oxfam, Tim was the Country Director in Sudan for Tearfund and has worked for a variety of INGOs supporting, implementing and managing humanitarian and development programmes in Lesotho, Ethiopia, Gambia, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.
Tim studied Geography at the University of Durham and has a MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Sussex.
