Emma works as learning and communications support officer for the SWIFT Consortium, which aims to deliver sustainable access to safe water and sanitation and encourage the adoption of basic hygiene practices in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Kenya and Liberia. She is responsible for leading the communication of learning within the consortium and externally, and designing and delivering a communications strategy that meets the needs of all members, partners and the donor.
Emma has previously held a range of communications roles at the University of Oxford's Department of International Development, within Oxfam's UK Poverty Programme, and at the UN World Food Programme in Rome. As a journalist, she worked for media organisations including Reuters, the Financial Times, Haymarket and Emap.
Emma holds an MA from SOAS in the Social Anthropology of Development.
