Rania is programme manager for Oxfam's AMAL programme in Yemen, the occupied Palestinian territories, Tunisia and Morocco. She is currently working with four Oxfam country offices and 13 partners.
Rania's previous positions include programme officer and assistant regional programme director at UN Women's sub-regional office for the Arab States for three years, poverty programme analyst and gender focal point at UNDP in Jordan for five years, and short term consultancies such as research expert with GTZ on "Poverty Reduction through Municipal Development" Project. She has managed partnerships with government institutions and CSOs in several countries in the Middle East and North Africa. In total, she has 10 years experience of programme management, programme
development, research management and implementation with a special focus on women's rights and gender equality, poverty reduction and social development.
Rania holds a Masters degree in Urban Management for developing countries and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture.
