Laura Eldon

ICT in Programme Humanitarian Advisor


Office Location: Oxford

Laura is a Project Manager in the ICT in Programme team specialising in applications of Information Communications Technologies in humanitarian programming. Laura also leads a stream of work focusing on mobile data collection, providing advisory and hands-on support to countries on best practice applications of ICTs. She has worked on a number of humanitarian-focused initiatives including developing new and innovative methodologies around Protection information gathering in Jordan and the Philippines and project managing a collaboration with World Vision to pilot their LMMS digital beneficiary management technology. She is managing a three-year strategic grant focusing on scaling up ICTs in humanitarian programming across the project cycle.

Laura began working for Oxfam in 2004. Her background is in digital communications where she held a number of posts before shifting to focus on the use of ICTs in programme. Laura has been seconded to work in a number of emergency responses in information management and communications roles in locations across the Middle East, East Africa and Asia.
